This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I have just recently discovered that receptive skills and productive skills are completely different and require separate attention. This chapter is necessary because if a teacher only focuses on one skill-set, the other will never develop. I've learned this from personal experience while learning a foreign language. Both receptive and productive skills are equally important. There were only a few things that I learned from this lesson. The first thing I learned was the difference between transitive verbs-which are verbs that has an object follow directly afterwards, and intransitive verbs. The second thing I learned was frequency adverbs. It is good to know that I was able to remember most of the grammar functions and rules from my college years.
