In Unit 10, which contained two video examples of an ESL teacher teaching a class, I learned what makes for effective teaching and happy students. Video 1 contrasted with Video 2 very well in that Video 1 was supposed to demonstrate many things which a teacher should not do, while in Video 2 it was shown how to create a comfortable and happy environment conducive to learning.Even for a native English speaker, this unit is rather complicated. We never have to think about which tenses or conditions to use since we know intuitively what is right without having to explain the reasoning behind it. For someone who is learning this, they need to have a very strong grasp on the different tenses already- both on what they are used for and how to use them.
