When beginners are children, they tend to suck up other language's easier. This has an extremely better advantage to older more slower learners such as adults. Although they can learn more complex ideas, they are stuck in their old learning habits and therefore, are harder to teach. I would find it a lot more fun to teach kids because then I can act silly and do a lot more fun activities.I was glad this unit was a bit shorter as I found it quite confusing. The past tenses can be difficult. My students who are all EFL students struggle with their tenses considerably. They bounce between present and past. That has more to do with my understanding than the topic covered. I do not teach some of these in Grade 4 and so it has been decades since I have had to work with them.
