Unit 2 talks about Parts of Speech. It breaks down what each word in a sentence is called, what it's for, and how it's used. The chapter begins with nouns: common noun, proper noun, compound noun, abstract noun, and collective nouns. As well there are countable and uncountable nouns. Adjectives include comparative and superlative. There are different usages for definite and indefinite articles.The chapter breaks down verbs into transitive vs. intransitive verbs. Sometimes the infinitive form is used, and also there are 4 major verb forms (base, past simple, past participle, and present participle). For adverbs the chapter breaks them down into various types. As well, they discuss gerunds, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctions. These are the general sentence parts.
