In short, good assessment techniques both assess and teach; the time spent doing these assignments helps students learn more effectively and efficiently. When students are encouraged to take the time to gauge what they know and how well developed their learning and academic skills are, they begin to recognize the importance of learning how to learn, as well as the importance of course content.This unit was useful in that certain aspects from the tools used to assist teaching are not generally explained in such a way that you can get the most benefit from them. The explanations on using a blackboard and this is most effective in a classroom is really useful. I was particularly happy to see a list of recommended resources as this is often something I'm looking for recommendations on.
