These are all very useful ideas, especially for new teachers at the beginning of the school year. The strategies presented here will set a precedent for the students for how they should expect the following lessons to be throughout the year. As long as the teacher is consistent with these strategies, especially at the beginning of the year, the students will know what the teacher will come to expect of them.This unit was a perfect heads up to teachers that are already working. There is a big risk that classroom materials are either overused or underused during the class. In my work I tend to be either overly creative with extra materials or overly reliant on textbook (depending on my mood). I will be more careful about finding this balance between those two and between the four skills. Thank you for the lesson!
