This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I learned a great deal of knowledge in this unit. Particularly the present continuous and present perfect continuous. The main difference that helped me differentiate between the two during this exam was that present continuous does not give a time of when something has happened where at PPC describes something that has happened and might continue happening along with a time table of when it happened. This unit covered the ESA Methodology in more depth. The Engage stage is used to get the students thinking and speaking in English. The Study phase is designed to elicit the teaching point from the student. Finally the Activate phase is used to put the material into a realistic context. I found the Engage phase interesting because I did not realize how difficult it was to get others to switch languages.
