I didn't even know that modal verbs had their own set of rules with all types of different meanings. I was completely confused doing this unit and although the answers that I gave makes sense, I'm not sure if any of them are correct. If ever a time comes to teach grammar of this level I will have to study very hard to understand every concept that was covered here.When giving feedback on an activity, it is important that the teacher focus on what the students COULD do as opposed to what they couldn't do; It is better to praise students and maintain a positive classroom. Also, to encourage student participation during classroom activities, students should be praised for attempting to answer, even if their answer is incorrect.
