The material in this unit shed some light on which types of lesson plans should be employed for different types of lessons. The organization and strategy of the lesson should be geared towards the content of the material to be covered. In general vocabulary lessons follow the straight arrow approach while grammatical lessons are better suited to boomerang or patchwork approaches.This unit was extremely helpful and informative as to lesson ideas and methods. I have learnt the importance of ESA within a lesson plan. The Boomerang and Straight Arrow lessons were very interesting and I shall now further my knowledge by outside study on the techniques contained in this unit. So much information within this unit is mandatory to my future as an English teacher.
