In this course it was good to learn all the information on course books as well as authentic and created materials. It was interesting to learn the difference between the two and how a teacher would use one or the other for certain situations. Its something that you never think about as a student but as a teacher you have to have a greater understanding of the students needs and have the tools to get them to the next level.The topic of Unit 14 was course books and lesson materials. I gained knowledge about the different course books; student?s book, workbook and teacher?s book, their advantages and disadvantages and how to choose and use them. I also learned that even if I choose to work with a special course book, I still have the option to omit, replace, add or adapt certain parts to make the book useful and interesting for my students.
