Well as I see it, lesson planning is never easy when you're trying to teach individuals whose first language is not English. However, with this unit it helped give me a much clearer view of what a basic lesson plans needs to include, and how to structure it so that it covers everything it needs too as well as having a little bit of flexibility for questions asked by the students.In this unit, it is helpful for the teacher to understand what to do in the case of speaking and listening skills. It was extremely helpful having it laid out which one activities may be better suited for which group (fluency in the study; accuracy in activate) and so on. A lot of thinking has gone into this to help new teachers like me understand what we should do going forward.
