Unit 14 covered course books and lesson materials, what could be useful and how to find and utilize the material. While it did cover the advantages of using a course book with a set curriculum, which seemed like the go-to, it also covered disadvantages and why course books should not always be used. It also covered the difference in materials, such as authentic and created materials. While authentic are found, real world objects, created can be made and more creative. The created materials, for a creative person, are most likely more fun to make and share with a class. However, authentic materials give you a sense of real life and can be related to when you are out and about. There was not a lot of new information to cover in this unit though it was still quite useful.
