I think this unit spelled out the framework for what is expected of the teachers and the learners in a classroom. It is important to realize that many factors affect the teacher and the learners in the classroom, and those can inhibit language learning for everyone involved. Yet, if the teacher understands the ideas laid out in this unit and has an idea of what to expect, potential problems like those listed above in the test questions can be avoided. One important thing that stood out to me in this lesson is that although learners appreciate teachers who have personalities well suited to teaching, it is more important that the teacher respects and cares for the students during the learning process. As a first-time teacher, this gives me hope and calms my nerves a bit.
