In Unit 17 we have looked in detail at a range of resources for Learning and Teaching English. Boards, visual aids, dictionaries, worksheets, OHPs, recordings and online resources can add interest and depth to a lesson. I found this lesson's suggestions and tips on how to use classroom materials and tools inspiring. The range of tools allows teachers more flexibility to focus on the individual needs of an specific group of students.I learned about the various in-class resources a teacher can use to aid in the teaching process. It explained the pros and cons to each of them including an OHP which can be difficult to set up. It also delved into the advantages and disadvantages of recording resources and how it shouldn't be used for auto-correction. One of the main takeaways is that technology can fail us so it's important to always have a back up lesson planned.
