This lesson focused in the ways students may be evaluated during their language course to measure their progress with the language. The unit explained that testing is the standard method of most institutions for evaluation, however I learned that the teacher at times may have the large responsibility of constructing the progress exams themselves. I also learned that peer evaluation can be helpful in acquiring genuine feedback about how easy or difficult the course is, as well as adjustments the teacher may need to make based on the progress, or lack of, determined by a more informal evaluation process than standardized testing. Regardless of methodology, this unit made the point that some form of evaluation is vital to asssit the students in progressing with the language.
