As a native English speaker, I found this unit quite hard, because intonation and stress is something I do as a subconscious part of speech. Thinking about what vowels I needed to stress often made me pronounce the word differently. Also I think the phonetic alphabet may confuse students more than help, since it introduces more unfamiliar symbols (assuming they use a different alphabet).In this unite the past tenses are explained,there structures and forms, how they are identified and there usages.in total there are four different past tense forms namely past simple,past continuous,past perfect and past perfect continuous.
