This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit went over pronunciation and phonology in a very deep way, going over the physical aspects of how we pronounce words and teaching techniques that will help students learn was incredibly useful and interesting. Also learning about the phonemic alphabet and how teaching it to students will aide in their learning of the English language was useful too.As a person who is interested both in the psychology of speech as well as body language this was one of the most interesting sections so far. I think, although it might be hard to objectively gauge the results of this type of approach, that a teacher who carefully considers his body language and word choices will be much more successful than one who doesn't.
