There are a range of potential problems in every language classroom, and it is necessary for the teacher to be able to identify and consider effective ways to tackle these problems. Some problems may stem from individual student abilities or problems, and may or may not be within the teacher's control, so there is a need to build rapport with the students so as to continuously encourage them to try. In addition, when classes are of mixed ability, there needs to be a consideration how to keep the entire spectrum of students engaged during the lesson. I think this is especially necessary because the students may individually be stronger in certain areas and weak in others (which may make all of them \"average out\" in ability, and these needs have to be identified carefully.
