This unit went in-depth about the qualities of good teachers and students, the possible roles teachers can undertake, and the type of students one may encounter. I found this information extremely helpful because it highlighted certain qualities I wasn't aware of when I teach in class. For instance, in the past, I have acted as a resource for my students, but when they ask me for help, I usually give them most of the information they want. In this unit, I learned that when acting as a resource, it is important not to spoon-feed the student. It's best to give them just enough information where they can figure out the problem on their own. This way, they are not only actively learning, but they also feel like they figured out the problem on their own (which builds confidence).
