This unit was very useful, in demonstrating effective and ineffective teaching methods. It also also demonstrates how to effectively communicate with students - using your voice, your vocabulary, your tempo, tone and or manner of speaking. But also non-verbal ways of communication - through, facial expression, gesture, mime etc. Furthermore, it displays effective ways of teaching - through clear instructions, use of pictures, modeling or demonstrating an example to the students (before they have to do an activity). Also it is important to clearly articulate your words and give short simple instructions. Lastly the teacher should always be positive and enthusiastic, and giving praise to students when they get something right, rather than criticizing them for what they got wrong.
