In Unit 17, I learned about various teaching resources that can be used for teaching English, such as: course books, dvds, online resources, etc. that can help when preparing a lesson. As well, there are many teaching aids and equipment a teacher can use to deliver the lesson. Some of the much used equipment used in the past, such as overhead projectors, can still be a viable solution to deliver a lesson since a teacher can prepare the acetates ahead of time which lessens the amount of time facing away from students. However, there are many new alternatives, such as computers and interactive whiteboards that can help engage with students to facilitate learning. It is important for a teacher that begins using technologies such as the whiteboard to have training ahead of time.
