This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit is about past tense verb forms. We covered the same areas as in the present tense materials so it was very organized and easy to absorb. We went over the four aspects/perspectives of the past- simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. The usage section was helpful when looking at a sentence as well as the forms section. For example, in the past continuous the form is Subject+helping verb+base form with -ing for the affirmative and its usage is mainly for explaining the past actions that were still happening then. With these pieces of information we can check to make sure that we are using the correct form for the thoughts we want to convey. As with the present tense materials, we ended with common mistakes and activities to use during an activate stage.
