This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered the active skills in using a language, which are speaking and writing. Both are important in the process of communication, although in slightly different ways, with each having specific challenges. What is important for both speaking and writing though, is accuracy and fluency. Accuracy is based on finding the correct words/grammar/conditions for what is being said/written. Fluency describes the effectiveness and to some extent, ease, of the communication process. ESA exercises for both speaking and writing are given, and some games are suggested for learning speaking and writing in a more conducive way. I think this section is well-presented, and especially enjoy the suggestions on how to make the process of learning writing, more fun (e.g. comic strips).
