This unit discusses lesson planning and overall classroom control during lessons. Making a good lesson plan is important for keeping the class on track in interested in learning. I learned about authentic and non-authentic materials that can be used in the classroom. I would like to start looking for more authentic materials to use in the class. This will help my students feel like they are learning something useful and practical. Keeping control of my classroom is fairly difficult but I picked up a few more techniques for doing so. A lot of these do not apply to my online class but can be adapted to help me stay in control. I agree that getting to know my students is the best method for keeping control. I want them to feel comfortable and respectful to me and the other students.
