The two videos demonstrate two different learning environments and the type of learning environment produced is dependent on a teacher's attitude and mannerism in his/her teachings. In the first lesson, the teacher was unclear in his instruction and was condescending in his speech, creating intimidation and fear in the classroom. As a result, there was very little participation among the students. In the second lesson, the teacher created rapport with the students by learning their names and through his smile and relaxed attitude, he was able to engage the students and elicited participation. His lesson plan and structure were also clear and contrasted with the first video. Clearly, a teacher's attitude and clarity in his lesson plan can create a difference in how students learn.
