Unit four went over managing classes. Classroom management requires teachers to create an environment where students feel comfortable and ready to learn. It’s good for a teacher to know when and how to use eye contact, appropriate gestures, and their voice to capture the attention of the classroom. Allowing students to work in groups, pairs, or alone is also part of classroom management. Teachers must be able to arrange their classroom in a proper manner for the students and the activity. It’s important for teachers to give the entire class attention as well as individual attention. The amount of time the teacher and students talk is something to be aware of. Lastly, maintaining discipline is a way to ensure students feel respected and the teacher is also given respect.
