This unit is about managing students in the classroom in terms of space and instruction. Using gestures and eye contact is something I am often conscious of, but I need to be more considerate about my position in class. I am reminded to pay particular attention to my position when I write on the board. Also, I am reminded of the need to choose my language carefully, especially when I need to deliver a longer explanation for activities. Hence, I think I should practice what I need t say in the classroom before trying out the activity. Finally, I agree that looking like I enjoy my job is a very good way to build rapport in class. All examples of good teachers I have seen are teachers whose interest and passion, whether for the subject or for the students, are obvious and contagious.
