This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The theories, methods, and techniques unit begins with the background of teaching methodologies and continues to the EFL's Engage, Study, and Activate (ESA) approach of teaching. I preferred the written document to the video in this unit as I believe there was too much emphasis on the history of methodologies - I personally prefer examples. This unit gave a tremendous number of examples of how to engage, motivate, and teach students at different levels of learning. During the time I was teaching, I, too, would use \"fun\" and \"real world\" examples to teach students. I found this the best approach, until students that learn best using books were having difficulty. As a result, I had to modify my approach for those students, to combine my examples with those that were in the book.
