Unit 13 is quite interesting part especially for the last five questions in unit test. I can see that the author tries hard to emphasize the importance of teaching pronunciation and phonology and his/her words is quite lively and funny. It starts with telling how and why it is important for the students and teachers to know and grasp the good pronunciation and focuses on the intonation and stress part with details of their rules and teaching skills with much examples, and also presents how the words differ in spelling and speaking. There is only one challanging part for me to remember the international phonemic alphabet chart including the palce and manner of articulation. So I need spend more time to fully understand all rules and own it in my book for better teaching performance.
