This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit has two videos that show two different lesson situations. In the first video the teacher don't really care if the students understand or not what is talking about (modal auxiliary verbs). He doesn't smile, he just hands students their exercises and gives little explanations about their activities, in fact the students look very confuse and intimidate by his attitude. In the second video the teacher is more entertaining, he involves all the students and he smiles. He explains (also miming and using gestures) what is the topic of the lesson and the students are more interested in the lesson.
I found these two videos very interesting and helpful, especially the second, as it shows how a lesson should be structured, the right attitude of a teacher and how to involve students.
