This unit has made me learn various theories, methodologies, and techniques in teaching English as a foreign language. With the different methods presented, the teacher is still the best person to decide which is the most appropriate and suitable to use. Certain factors should be taken into consideration when choosing which method to use, namely: students' level of English, motivation, and cultural background as well as teachers' personality, awareness of learners' strengths and weaknesses, and familiarity of various time-tested teaching approaches. Many activities have been explained in this unit which could be very helpful to teachers during their English classes. Giving of feedback and corrections to mistakes and errors committed by the students should be properly dealt with with.
