This unit described the basic grammatical rules for the English language in just a few pages. It ver effectively organizes the rules so that the reader can understand the differences between different types of nouns, verbs, adverbs, and and other parts of speech. These distinctions are very important for a teacher to have a strong knowledge of so that they can simplify them for their students. Though I knew most of the information that was presented, I now have a better understanding of the language that is used to teach these concepts, such as transitive and intransitive verbs. I also did not know how to refer to a superlative adjective previously. While reading I often found myself having moments of clarity where the unit answered grammatical questions I have always wondered about.
