I feel that classroom management is a major component to the success of a lesson. One can have a fantastic lesson planned, but if the class is not manage well leading to discipline issues then learning will not be effective as most of the time will be focused on the disciplinary problems. I have taken note of the methods for controlling the classroom environment and will be sure to implement them in my class. I also found the tips on how to present activities to the students to be helpful as well. Very often in and outside of a classroom setting, we ask the simple yes or no question of do you understand. A reply of yes is not a validation that the whole meaning was fully understood. However, having persons explain to you the concept is a more reliable way of testing for understanding.
