This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The most technical and complex unit thus far and contained some very interesting ideas about pronunciation and when and where it belongs as well as a lot about how to go about actually teaching students English pronunciation. There was also a lot of abstract material surrounding the actual sounds and creation of sounds in the English language by the body.
I learnt quite a lot in this unit and it is easily the most unfamiliar subject matter that I have seen so far in this course and it was quite unexpected and yet refreshing to see such stimulating material especially the in-depth information regarding the phonetic alphabet, the actual anatomy regarding pronunciation and the way in which we stress different parts of our sentences and syllables to present different meanings to a listener.
