As an inexperienced teacher this unit helped me visualize structure for lessons that I could use in the classroom. Being organized is important to ensure a smooth flowing lesson. It is important to be flexible though. As stated in the unit, if the students are enjoying a particular lesson than extend that time allocated for that particular part of the lesson.
It will take time to be fluent at lesson planning. Through experience you will find it easier to anticipate problems that will arise. But you want to make sure you are thinking about this beforehand to ensure you have answers to questions that could come up.
Finally this unit got me thinking about Unit 3 again. Breaking down and understanding the different parts and activities associated with ESA is crucial to building lessons.
