This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Speaking and writing. The other half of learning a language. Since these are equally important, we, as teachers, need to focus on both of them. Although writing can be boring and may only be reserved for homework, it does not excuse the students from practicing while in the classroom. I think this can be easily done by students writing on the board. I'm noticing too that games have a lot of power when teaching a new language. In this unit I learned about the types of tenses, present, past and future. More specifically, I learned about present simple, present perfect, present perfect continuous, and present continuous. In this unit I learned different ways to teach each of these tenses, including specific rules for my students to follow. This unit also gave me interactive ways to teach the content to my students to solidify the knowledge of tenses.
