Learning past tenses is just like learning about the present tense though just using the past verbs. If the teachers and students understood the present tenses forms then it would be easy for them to undestand and learn the past tenses. The teachers should just be attentive on which games or acitivities to practice in these tenses for the better understanding of the learners. The main point here is to memorize carefully the correct form of each tenses especially with the affirmative, negative and question form on each tenses as these are very important. For the past perfect and past perfect continuous, students shoud be able to master the past participle of the verbs. Learning past tenses is as challenging as learning the persent tenses as they are somewhat alike except for the verb usage.
