This unit covered the productive skills of speaking and writing. Various techniques that focus on either accuracy or fluency were covered, as well as many activities that can be used to help develop and encourage students to use productive English skills. Which stage of the lesson the activities are appropriate for to lead from accuracy-based activities where students practise producing English correctly to fluency-based activities where students are given more freedom and creative control to use what they've learnt to communicate freely. The activities and games that were listed in this unit, and the guidelines for how to create activities and incorporate them into the lesson, were very helpful, and will allow me to make better use of activities in class to get the most out of my lessons.
