Unit 10 discusses the various tests and examinations available to test language level, progress and also for requirements to enter tertiary education. Teachers should utilise their own knowledge of the student together with the written diagnostic and/or progress report to set the level of education required. Most of the tests mentioned are written, so this also tests the comprehension.I have never studied phonology before so this was a very interesting lesson. I had no idea of how to teach pronunciation before watching the videos, and i thoroughly enjoyed the sample classroom instruction video. After learning the information in this lesson I see it IS possible to teach people sounds and have them say the sounds properly. And it seems easier than I thought it would be.
