I have learnt about class management, class arrangement, discipline maintenance - what are the positive and negative effects of each type of arrangements and managements. I have also learnt about creating rapports and how to deal with problematic behaviours. Additionally, the engagement between teachers and students, and the teachers' position in the classroom while teaching are also important.This unit covered important motivations and factors that I would need to consider when crafting lessons around speaking and writing. I found the list of games, guidelines for free/creative speaking activities, and the distinction between fluency and accuracy the most helpful. The example lesson was particularly interesting and I would like to make my own variation of it to use in the classroom.
