The module has taught me that the use of tenses in the English language is more complex than i first realised. I believe that this area of study will be quite challenging to students, especially if the student's native language does not use as many tenses as English. The module has also highlighted to me that I will require to further study this area of English prior to attending class so I can have the confidence required.This unit helps to enlighten us on the basic skills in English focusing on the receptive skills which are reading and listening. How people read and listen are very important just as how to teach reading and listening to ESL students. Understanding student's likely strengths and weaknesses in reading and listening will help a teacher to carefully select which texts are appropriate for teaching using the required lesson plan
