This lesson provides a general overview of the various teaching techniques. There are multiple methods to teach and while each method has its positives and negatives, it is suggested for new teachers to use ESA- engage, study, activate. Numerous examples of this teaching method were provides as well as definitions and examples of the various steps. Additional information was given, such as correction and feedback techniques.This was an interesting unit which sent me to Google to look up Authentic and non-authentic texts. I had never come across those expressions before so I found it quite compelling to discover the difference between the two meanings. One of the articles I read from an on-line blog suggested that authentic texts offer our students insight as to how language works in real time especially when viewed in video format. Fascinating!
