Unit 7 expounds on the essentials for teaching the English language: grammar, vocabulary and functions. Suggested ESA Lesson plans for each area were presented using the straight arrow ESA, boomerang ESA and patchwork ESA. I find the activities in the different ESA phases a bit confusing at this stage, and look forward to more examples, possibly through watching videos to clarify the activities in each phase.In this unit i have learnt the importance of pronunciation and phonology . As a teacher it is very important to teach the correct pronunciation in an effective way . I have also learnt different strategies and techniques of teaching intonation. The table of phonemic symbol is one of the tools that i would keep in my classroom to let students to use and improve their pronunciation skills throughout the course.
