unit 14 covers about course books with all advantages and disadvantages as well as how to analyse and utilize them and other teaching materials to supplement the books. students may find materials created by teachers are more interesting and motivating. these materials are divided in 2 groups: authentic (anything we would hear or read such as magazines, songs, films, newspapers etc) and created materials (crosswords, flashcards, etc)This unit focused on methods to effectively teach students new Vocabulary, grammatical structures and some of the functions of language. An emphasis was placed on awareness on the level of difficulty of the vocabulary being taught, important consideration about grammatical form - such as meaning, use, and forms and patterns - in addition to many useful suggestions for utilizing different ESA styles to facilitate the learning process.
