This unit was a nice wrap-up to this course. It covered some of the problems that you might encounter that hadn't already been addressed and gave solutions. It emphasized the importance of establishing a good rapport with your students from the beginning and respecting them as individuals with individual needs and circumstances. Overall, I have learned quite a bit from this course and I already put it into practice with my students. The only additional information that I think would be helpful would have been a unit discussing the unique and expanding online classroom. There are challenges to teaching (especially very young children) on a video and audio platform via the internet. The number of online schools is increasing considerably and many future ESL teachers will be using that platform.
