This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focused on the final section for English grammar, modal and phrasal verbs as well as passive verses active voice. Much detail was given for the presented verbs. For example, the different types of phrasal verbs, type 1 (Intransitive), type 2 (transitive separable), and type 3 (transitive inseparable) were defined with examples given. The unit also gave insight into some possible trouble areas for students as well as possible teaching methods. I am very thankful that so much detail was spent into explaining the grammar presented in this lesson. I feel that grammar is often an area that native speakers tend to ignore. However, it is critical for the teacher to be intimately familiar with the grammar of the language being taught in order to teach the language in a clear way to students.
