In this unit I learned more about productive skills and the difference and importance between fluency and accuracy. Fluency is how much one can be talking without interruption or stopping to think how to say it. Accuracy is taking into account the correct use of words, grammar and pronunciation. We can never say one is more important than the other. Both are necessary for each other. When teaching writing skills, the teacher has to take into account the penmanship, correct spelling and punctuation. They are all needed for accuracy and that brings about more fluency. Classroom games are very important to improve accuracy and fluency in book writing and reading skills. One really needs a lot of practice here. Games will motivate students to practice more and makes studying less stressful.
