This final, shorter unit was about the common problems that teachers face, whether a new, shy group of students who do not know each other, or a class with a variety of language proficiency, or both, etc. It also gives details about conducting successful 'first lessons', which can have a great impact on the student's attitude towards you as a teacher and your class in general.In this unit, I learned the fundamentals of pronunciation and phonology. Intonation and stress are key elements of this lesson. I feel that as native English speakers, we take pronunciation and phonology for granted and being able to view a phonetic alphabet with its corresponding symbols was an eye opener for me into how pronunciation can be viewed through another perspective.
