This unit taught about the past tenses, their structure and usages. I have learnt when to use Past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous tenses for a sentence. Common mistakes in using them and sample activate stage teaching ideas were also taught in this unit. I have also learnt that worksheets have to be given during study stage rather activity stage.It was so useful seeing a class in two different ways. It shows how much of a difference there is when a teacher engages the students, encourages them and is friendly! I learnt a lot of practical skills that will be helpful when I teach. It also helps having prompting tools and knowing the students names
I can see how being prepared, friendly and engaging makes such a difference!
