Creating and controlling optimal social atmosphere and rapport within the class helps all students to relax, feel included and accepted, and most of all confident in their English speaking abilities. There are many factors to consider: how to arrange the classroom, how to group students, how to give instructions and maintain discipline, how to minimise the dead time when it is necessary to write on the board, how and when to give students individual attention, using the teachers body to create and maintain good rapport. All of it has its role in effective classroom and students management. There will eventually come up some more or less challenging and problematic situations relating to managing individual students in teacher's work and awareness of ways of responding to them is very important.
